Fiber-optic sensors and fibers WLL80

  • The smart solution for challenging detection tasks
  • With the WLL80 opto-electronic fiber optic amplifier, SICK is creating a new generation of amplifiers for the flexible integration of fiber optics in confined spaces.
  • The intelligent WLL80 features IO-Link and can make processes even more efficient with various Smart Tasks. Thanks to IP54, it is protected from dust and spray water during operation. Continuous threshold adaptation ensures good performance in the long term with minimal maintenance requirements.
  • In addition to a fast response time and high detection range, it is characterized by flexible and user-friendly parameterization via the OLED display or IO-Link. Whether as a single or bus version, the WLL80 is suitable for a wide range of applications thanks to its extensive fiber optics portfolio.

FORK sensor WFM

  • Plug-and-play fork sensors – connect and get started.
  • The WFM fork sensors are extremely quick and easy to mount and commission thanks to plug and play.
  • Their yellow receive indicator can be seen all the way round, providing optimum feedback on the switching behavior of the WFM. Since the sender and receiver are integrated within the same housing, there is no need for any complex alignment work, allowing detection tasks to be prepared and completed quickly and easily.
  • WFM have a rugged aluminum housing and are available in five different designs with fork widths ranging from 30 mm to 180 mm and fork depths of between 40 mm and 120 mm.
  • SICK's fork sensors are suited to numerous applications, such as detecting parts in production processes, checking whether various objects are present, or intralogistic processes.

Cylinder sensors MPS-T

  • Position sensors for T-slot
  • MPS-T position sensors continuously detect the piston position of pneumatic actuators using a direct, non-contact method. They can be mounted in T-slots without the need for additional accessories.
  • The sensor settings can be adjusted during installation and during operation later on, using a teach pad or – depending on the variant – using IO-Link.
  • The sensors continuously supply data via analog outputs or IO-Link, enabling flexible machine concepts and making it possible to solve tasks in areas such as quality monitoring and process control in conjunction with pneumatic cylinders and drives.
  • This continuous transfer of position data upgrades the functionality of the pneumatic cylinders by making them more intelligent – and, as a result, more versatile.

Contrast sensors KTL180

  • Safe object detection at high machine speeds
  • The KTL180 reliably detects contrast differences even at high machine speeds.
  • Thanks to its 31.2 kHz switching frequency, a high grayscale resolution and manual switching threshold adjustment, the KTL180 makes for safe object detection.
  • The response time of 16 µs ensures stable and accurate detection of contrast differences, for example with print marks, even for high-gloss materials. The sensor can be quickly adjusted to the respective application with the 7-segment display and easy menu guidance.
  • Various teach-in processes as well as an integrated job save increase the flexibility during commissioning in a large range of applications with very high process stability.
