Overview

The NANS3-CAAZ30IZ1 is a compact safety laser scanner from SICK’s nanoScan3 series, designed for monitoring and protecting hazardous areas in automated systems, particularly mobile platforms such as AGVs and AMRs.
It employs safeHDDM® scanning technology, delivering precise measurements and reliable performance even in challenging environments with strong ambient light, dust, or dirt. With a housing height of just 80 mm, a 275° scanning angle, and a 3 m protective field, the device is easy to install in space-constrained applications.
The NANS3-CAAZ30IZ1 offers maximum configuration flexibility with up to 128 monitoring fields and supports industrial Ethernet communication (EtherNet/IP™). It features a system plug for configuration storage and the user-friendly Safety Designer software for fast setup, ensuring stable operation and reduced system deployment time.

Note: The sensor is delivered without a system plug. The system plug must be ordered separately for commissioning and operation.

Product Overview – nanoScan3 Pro NANS3-CAAZ30IZ1

The NANS3-CAAZ30IZ1 is the EtherNet/IP™ variant of the nanoScan3 Pro – SICK’s most compact 2D safety laser scanner. The device uses a pulsed laser diode at 905 nm (Laser Class 1 – eye-safe) to scan the environment over a wide 275° angle, enabling highly flexible protective and warning fields with up to 128 fields and 128 monitoring cases. Thanks to safeHDDM® technology, the scanner maintains excellent measurement stability even under dust, intense light, or optical interference. Combined with the intuitive Safety Designer configuration software and the ability to freely program 128 fields and 128 monitoring cases, the NANS3-CAAZ30IZ1 provides a highly versatile safety solution for industrial applications.
