The GL2S-N0311S01 is a miniature photoelectric sensor from SICK’s G2 series. It operates on the retro-reflective principle, where the emitted light is reflected back to the sensor by a dedicated reflector.
Compared to diffuse-reflective or through-beam sensors, the retro-reflective design requires wiring on only one side, with a reflector mounted on the opposite side. This significantly reduces installation cost and complexity.
